Rays Hunter Bigge carted off after getting struck by line drive in dugout in terrifying momen
A foul ball off the bat of the Orioles Adley Rutschman went sailing into the Rays dugout and struck reliever Hunter Bigge, leading to him being taken off the field on a cart on Thursday night in Tampa. The scary incident occurred in the top of the seventh inning when Rutschman fouled off a ball directly into Tampas dugout, connecting with Bigge in the upper body and appearing to send him tumbling off the rail. One from inside George M. Steinbrenner Field showed the moment the ball came off Rutschmans bat, which sent several other Rays players ducking for cover.
